29 April – Tatsuya Takahashi

Tatsuya Takahashi is more than just your typical instrument designer. With interests in art and performance, his unique perspective has helped bring a number of synthesizers and drum machines to life for Korg and other manufacturers. In his ten years at Korg Tokyo, synthesizer engineer Tatsuya Takahashi brought us the Monotrons, the Volcas, the Minilogue, and many more before leaving on a three-year hiatus from mass-produced synthesizers to work on smaller scale productions. Takahashi now returns to KORG to set up and run its newly established lab, KORG Berlin.

Q: Why did you choose to join korg? During your work at korg, are there any people or things that impressed you?

Q: What I want to ask is about the project “A for 100 cars”: Is the show based on the existing sound systems of the 100 sports cars?Or will each vehicle be retrofitted separately?

Q: How did you get into engineering and electronics? I am also interested in the project for 100 Cars. Could you explain the technology or skills used a little more? In this project, what was the most difficult thing (or challenging part) as a specific process?
